Pecan Pie Trifle

This rich Pecan Pie Trifle is a great way to celebrate important events. A delicious dessert thats great for any event is made with layers of crumbled pecan pie, vanilla pudding, and whipped cream.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 store-bought pecan pie, crumbled
  • 1 cup whipped cream
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • Graham cracker crumbs for garnish

Instructions:

Vanilla pudding mix and cold milk should be mixed together in a bowl until the mixture is smooth

Cool in the fridge until set

Mix the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream in a different bowl

Whip the mixture until stiff peaks form

Carefully fold the whipped cream into the pudding mix that has been chilled until everything is well mixed

Put crumbled pecan pie at the bottom of serving glasses or trifle bowls

Put a lot of the pudding and whipped cream mixture on top of the pecan pie layer

Repeat the layers until the glasses are full

Add a dollop of whipped cream on top to finish

To make it more interesting and tasty, sprinkle chopped pecans and graham cracker crumbs on top

Put it in the fridge for at least two hours before you serve it

This Parmesan Crusted Pesto Grilled Cheese is a delicious twist on a classic favorite. The pesto adds a burst of flavor, while the crispy Parmesan crust takes it to the next level.

Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 tablespoons of pesto sauce
  • 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of butter

Instructions:

On one side of each piece of bread, spread pesto sauce

Put a lot of mozzarella cheese on top of one slice of bread the side with pesto sauce

Put the other slice of bread on top, pesto side down, to make a sandwich

While the pan is on medium-low heat, melt the butter in a nonstick pan

Spread Parmesan cheese out on a plate while the butter melts

Be careful as you coat both sides of the pesto grilled cheese sandwich with the Parmesan cheese

In a skillet, cook the sandwich for about two to three minutes on each side, until the bread is golden brown and crispy and the cheese melts

After taking the Parmesan Crusted Pesto Grilled Cheese out of the pan, let it cool for a minute, and then cut it in half across the middle

Ingredients:

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400F 200C

In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, paprika, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, salt, and pepper

Place chicken thighs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper

Rub spice mixture all over the chicken thighs

In another bowl, whisk together maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, garlic, and rosemary

Brush half of the maple syrup mixture over the chicken thighs

Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes

Brush remaining maple syrup mixture over the chicken thighs and continue to roast for another 10-15 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear

Serve hot, garnished with fresh rosemary sprigs, if desired
