Ingredients:
- 2 cups grated yams
- 1/2 cup chopped red onions
- 1/4 cup ground flaxseeds
- 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
- 1 tablespoon tamari sauce
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 large daikon radish
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup ketchup
Instructions:
In a bowl, combine grated yams, chopped red onions, ground flaxseeds, nutritional yeast, tamari sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper
Form the mixture into burger patties and place them in the refrigerator to set for 30 minutes
While the yam burgers are setting, peel and cut the daikon radish into fries
Toss the daikon fries in olive oil and arrange them on a baking sheet
Bake the daikon fries in a preheated oven at 425F 220C for 20-25 minutes or until they are crispy and golden brown
Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and cook the yam burgers for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are browned and cooked through
Serve the raw yam burgers with the baked daikon fries and ketchup on the side
