Southern Fried Salmon Patties

Chelsea Oriental Girls

The outside of these Southern-fried salmon patties is crunchy, and the inside is soft. Because they have salmon, spices, and green onions, they are full of flavor and make a great meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb salmon fillet, skinless, deboned, flaked
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegetable oil for frying

Instructions:

In a large bowl, combine flaked salmon, cornmeal, flour, green onions, beaten egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper

Mix until well combined

Form the mixture into patties, about 3 inches in diameter

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat

Fry the salmon patties until golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side

Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels

Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or garnish
