Ingredients:
- 2 cups white rice
- 4 cups water
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
Rice and water should be combined in a medium saucepan
Bring over high heat to a boil
Once the rice is soft and the water has been absorbed, turn the heat down to low, cover, and simmer for 18 to 20 minutes
Heat the olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat
Add the minced garlic and cook for approximately one minute, or until fragrant
After the rice is cooked, use a fork to fluff it up and move it into a big mixing bowl
To the rice, add the chopped cilantro, lime juice, salt, and sauted garlic
Until everything is evenly combined, thoroughly mix
Serve hot as a flavorful side dish or as a foundation for your preferred dishes with a Mexican flair
